Andrea Hernandez
Andrea Hernandez is a Healthcare Interpreter and Translator. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in Chicano Studies from San Jose State University in the Spring of 2021. She currently works at a Physical Therapy Center specializing in a condition called Lymphedema and in Wound Care and Oncology. It’s been a great setting to interpret treatment sessions for the therapist and Spanish-speaking patient and learn about such progressive conditions.
She is excited to return to San Jose State this Fall 2022 to start a Master’s Program in Occupational Therapy. She hopes to use her therapy license to work with disenfranchised communities and extend healthcare to Spanish speakers through interpretation/translation.
